The First Channel has shown a film devoted to diamond machinations that took place in 1970s. The film is about diamonds embezzlements from Smolensk Kristall factory (now it is the largest diamond factory in Europe and one of De Beers partners).

Four of the main heroes of the “story” were condemned to death penalty. It turned out that the political elite of that time were involved in the frauds and embezzlements. That is why this case has been classified for 25 years.
