According to Podrobnosti, the president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma has signed a law on the State regulation in the field of precious metals and gemstones turnover. The law allows the turnover of jewellery made of platinum with 900 purity of alloy (earlier only 950 standard of platinum jewellery was allowed). The law came into force on February 24, 2004.
