On March 16 2004 Russian Jewellery Network will hold a press conference with S.Ulin, the CEO of Almazny Mir Company and the vice-president of ALROSA. The conference will be devoted to the Diamond Chamber work.

Russia’s Diamond Chamber was founded in 1996. It is a corporation structure of diamond sector of the country created with the purpose to assist in the industry’s and independent market’s developing.

The organisation has always been and now is supported by largest Russia diamond companies and structures, such as JSC ALROSA, OJSC Severalmaz, Almazyuveliexport, Smolensk Kristall Company, CJSC Ruiz Diamonds, OJSC Yuveliry Urala and many other diamonds mining and trade companies, banks and associations. Besides, the Diamond Chamber is cooperating with scientific and research centres and public organisations, for example, Russian Diamonds Manufacturers Association, Gemmological Institute, Russian Diamond Union, the Gemmological Centre of the Moscow State University. Now the list of the Chamber’s participants includes about 40 organisations.

In 2000 Russia’s Diamond Chamber became a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.
