On February 24, 2004, the State Hermitage opens its branch in Amsterdam. The director of the museum Mikhail Piotrovskiy and the Minister of Culture of Russia Mikhail Shvydkoy will visit the capital of Netherlands for participating in the ceremony of the museum’s opening.

“Greek Gold” Exposition will become one of the first exhibitions that will take place in the branch. About 100 of Greek jewellery items dated back to VI-II centuries B.C. Golden earrings, silver bowls, vessels and many other unique exponents will be demonstrated in Amsterdam in course of the nearest few months.
