As it has been reported by YASIA, on February 20, 2004, the vice-president of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Alexander Akimov held the meeting of organising committee for the events devoted to 80th jubilee of gold mining industry. These events will take place in Aldan in August 2004, as this region is one of the most significant areas of the sector. The government of the Sakha Republic considers the jubilee to be very important for Yakutia and its people.
