According to the results of 2003, OJSC Polimetall has entered top-ten of world’s silver producers. The most important deposits belonging to the company are Dukat and Lunnoe. Last year 13.2 mln oz were mined there. The total precious metals mining volume of OJSC Polimetall amounted in 2003 to 240 thou oz of conditional gold.

OJSC Polimetall was founded in 1998. Now the holding includes 7 mining and 6 subsidiary companies in Buryatia, Khabarovsk krai, Sverdlovsk, Sakhalin, Chita and Magadan regions and a scientific institute in St.-Petersburg. Polimetall possesses 17 licences for precious metals deposits exploration. It is the leader in silver mining in Russia and one of the ten largest gold mining companies.
