The First Channel informs that an extraordinary smuggler has been arrested at Russian – Polish border. First, he had been suspected in drugs smuggling, but it turned out that he illegally transported jewellery and gemstones. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies and amethysts over 500 thou roubles worth were confiscated from him during arrest. Now the man could be imprisoned for ten years.
