Gold will keep growing in price in 2004
Itar-Tass publishes that gold is expected to keep growing in price in 2004, its maximum will probably be $470 per troy ounce. This forecast was made at the conference "Jewellery market: the world’s tendencies. Jewellery production and trade development in Russia", held within the frameworks of JUNWEX-2004 Show. The increase in gold cost is associated with dollar rate falling, experts say.
However, t is possible that the precious metal will decrease in price in the second half of 2004, at average down to $380 per troy ounce.
As for platinum, one of the reason for its prices growing is that its production decreases significantly faster than consumption. In 2004 platinum and palladium prices will enhance due to growing demand from Asian countries.
