ITAR TASS publishes that the scientists from Troitck (Moscow region) offer new unique technology for struggle against diamonds smuggling with the help of laser. There, in Troitck, the scientists mark diamonds with ultraviolet laser and it allows to distinguish natural diamonds from synthetic ones and Russian gemstones from those cultured abroad.

The mark is impossible to see with the naked eye. For reading the information laser is used as well. In the future it is planned to found certification centre in Troitck where experts resolutions will be available.
