Rosbalt publishes that in 2003 Yakut jewellery companies produced diamonds $242 mln worth that is by 18% more than in 2002. The factories of ALROSA Company produced diamonds $99,2 mln worth.

Now about 02 jewellery companies and enterprises are working in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), with 6 being the largest. Among the most important jewellery companies of the region are Zoloto Yakutii, Sakhayuvelir, Aldanzoloto, Kristall 2001. Yakut jewellery enterprises process about 2.5 tons of pure gold annually.
