IA REGNUM informs that gemstones searching in Lipetsk region are coming to their end. Exploration works have been taking place for already three years. The first 400 rare red diamonds were found in the region in 2002. Such diamonds had been known to exist in Australia only.

The representatives of ALROSA, Russian diamond monopolist, have shown their interest in Lipetsk deposit. The report of geologists about this diamond deposit will have been made by the end of 2004.
