According to Ural-Press-Inform, in January-November 2003 the mining enterprises of Chelyabinsk region mined 4,05 kg of gold, annual quota being 5,526 kg. There were 22,846 kg of silver mined while the quota was 17,904 kg, and 13 kg of platinum were mined with annual quota being 15 kg.

However, gold mining volume in he region has increased by 11% as compared with last year figures.
