MMC Norilsk Nickel and Almazyuvelirexport Company have registered a joint venture in Switzerland. He new company was named Norplat and is aimed to assist in platinoids export. Norplat Company will start working at the beginning of 2004. For a long time all Russian platinoids have been exported through Almazyuvelirexport, but several years ago Norilsk Nickel and a number of small producers got the same right. Now exporters will unite again.

Norplat Company is supposed to help its organisers to avoid competition. Norilsk Nickel possesses A-shares in this new venture, but both partners are said to be equal.
