In 2004 MMC Norilsk Nickel intends to supply up to 80% of palladium sales
As it has been informed by Prime-TASS, in 2004 OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel intends to supply up to 80% of palladium supplies to its end consumers.
The company doesn’t plan to leave spot palladium market as its presence has a stabilising function. In the case of platinum sale, MMC Norilsk Nickel admits the South Africa’s priority in this field; it pays more attention to palladium promotion in jewellery market.
Now Norimet Company exports platinoids produced by Norilsk Nickel. In future these functions will be passed to the new venture Norplat. Norimet will specialise in controlling foreign assets, in particular, Stillwater Mining Company’s shares.
