The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia informed about the results of platinum and gold mining objects checking in Khabarovsk region. According to the commission’s report, serious violations of environmental protection legislation have been revealed at Amur, Dalzoloto, Zarya enterprises. Now the Ministry of Natural Resources has demanded that the principal regional gold miners ceased exploitation of certain licensed plots. Regional officials and gold miners consider these demands to be lawless.

The representatives of regional Ministry of Natural Resources acted against the actions of federal structures as they break the principle of “double key” — the licence on natural resources exploitation is issued by both federal structures and the authorities of Russia’s subjects. The administration of Khabarovsk krai announced that it had not got the documents about this checking result.
