As it has been reported by IA REGNUM, on December 9, 2003, Yakutia’s economical, cultural and industrial sectors will be presented in the press centre of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yakutia is the largest subject of Russian Federation and possesses huge and unique reserves of natural resources. There are over 1500 deposits in the Republic including 150 diamond kimberlitic pipes, about 600 gold deposits and many others. Today, in particular, Yakutia provides 98% of Russia’s diamonds, 15% of gold and 24% of polished diamonds production.
