Norilsk Nickel and Russian Science Academy have signed an agreement
МС&C reports that on December 9 2003, the management of Norilsk Nickel and the presidium of Russian Science Academy held a meeting in Moscow during which there was a complex programme signed. The programme provides the plan of searching and exploring works in the field of hydrogen power engineering. The programme was signed by the Academy’s president Y. Osipov and Norilsk Nickel CEO M. Prokhorov. The programme has been named the largest national project created by the Academy together with the representatives of Russian business. Such cooperation is considered to have positive influence on science and economy development. The agreement provides the organisation of academy institutions and industrial enterprises cooperation for the production of competitive power equipment with palladium and platinoids mined by MMC Norilsk Nickel.
