YASIA publishes that Yakut gold miners are breaking records again — according to the Ministry of industry of Sakha Republic (Yakutia), they have already over-fulfilled the plan.

At first, gold mining enterprises of the region were to get 18 tons of the precious metal. Then the plan was increased up to 18,5 tons. By the beginning of December over 19 tons of gold had been mined.

However, it is not the final result. Preliminary forecasts say that the result of 2003 will be 19,3 tons of gold.
