Amber mining at Plyazhevy area of Palmnikenks deposit (Kaliningrad region) has come to its end. Since November 17 the next area at Primorsk deposit has started being exploited. The conditions of the work at the deposit are very hard, the depth of amber layer is 50-60 m (at Plyazhevy area it was 9-15 m). The cost of amber mining at the deposit is three times as higher than it was at the previous area.
