REGIONS.RU reports that the programme of geological exploration works is needed in the region in order to solve the problems of natural resources in Ural Federal Region. This decision was made by the representatives of the Resources Ministry and the representative of the President in the region Peter Latyshev at the meeting held on November 11, 2003, in Yekaterinburg. According to the press service of the Ministry of Resources of Russia, about 10% of Russian gold is mined here, but recently there has been almost no compensations in the precious metal resources.
