Site expert.org.ua informs that in the nearest future Ukraine enterprises will be able to increase the volumes of diamonds processing up to $100 mln a year, while in 2003 it is predicted to amount to about $40 mln.

According to the director of the State Gemmological Centre Vladimir Indutny, in Ukraine there are two diamonds processing enterprises: jewellery factories in Kiev and in Vinnitca. They are specialising in small diamonds producing. Now Ukraine’s share in the world’s market of small diamonds is 7%, but it is expected to increase in the nearest future years.
