Interfax publishes that in January-October 2003 Russian jewellers increased golden jewellery production volume by 30% — they produced 17 mln 807 thou 437 pc sof golden jewellery and 10 mln 13 thou 537 pcs of silver jewellery — by 7,8% more than the same period last year.

In January-October 2003 the Assay Office of Russia stamped 178 thou 312 pcs of golden imported jewellery and 2 mln 131 thou 413 pcs of silver imported jewellery. The whole number of platinum and palladium jewellery stamped in January-October 2003 is 24 thou 892 pcs and 3 thou 446 pcs correspondingly.
