The chairman of Lanta Bank’s board of directors Sergey Dokuchaev in his report at the International Business Conference RPMG 2003 informed about changes of the Conference’s format in 2004. Next year RPMG will take place not only as a conference but as an exhibition. It will allow to increase the number of the event’s participants and to make the work of the conference more active.

Mr Dokuchaev has announced that now Lanta Bank is financing the Vysochayshiy mine where it is planned to get up to 2 tons of gold next year. In 2003 the enterprises of Lanta Bank will achieve the level of 3,5 tons of gold, 5,5 tons of gold are planned to be the result of 2004. In 2003 Lanta Bank has enhanced its shareholding in Russkie Samotcvety Company up to 51%, and it allows to increase significantly the volume of jewellery production including export production.

According to Mr Dokuchaev, now about 18% of the bank’s production is exported. With VAT for jewellery export abolished, its volume is predicted to amount to 500 kg of jewellery a month.
