Rudakov V.V. commented on jewellery export
Valeriy Rudakov, the chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia for precious metals and gemstones, the chairman of CJSC Polus board of directors, informed that there were two important problems domestic jewellery sector had faced: precious metals mining by small and middle-sized business and jewellery production development.
According to Mr Rudakov, the law on natural resources imposes too high expenses, and it doesn’t allow small and middle-sized companies to function effectively in the market. The procedure of licences obtaining takes place in Moscow and can last for a long time. This problem may be solved by passing a part of the commission to regional centres, improving taxes legislation and the system of the sector control.
