According to PolitSibRu, Kemerovo regional Council had to correct the mistake occurred to the highest award of the region — the order Doblest Kuzbassa (The Prowess of Kuzbass) lacked two diamonds. In order to amend the situation, the deputies have corrected the law “On the awards of Kemerovo region”.

The order Doblest Kuzbassa is a medal made of white gold, in its centre there is the contour of the region made of yellow gold with a diamond at the place of Kemerovo, regional administrative centre. The total number of diamond sin the order were planned to be fifteen. In December 2001 an exemplar of the order was considered to cost 45 thou roubles. However, only thirteen diamonds are used in the award presented to the governor of the region Aman Tuleev, his first deputy Valentin Mazikin, the archbishop of Kemerovo and Novokuznetck Sofroniy and others.

On Wednesday the deputies of Kemerovo regional Council made na appropriate amendment to the law “On awards”. Now only thirteen, according to the law, are to be used in the order.
