About 4 tons of gold have been mined in Chukotka this year that is by 15% more than in 2002. This increase is associated with Valunistoe deposit putting into operation, 400 kg of gold and over 3 tons of silver were mined at the deposit.

Today there are 46 gold mining enterprises in Chukotka. It is planned in the nearest future to increase the metal production volume up to 20 tons a year.
