According to KNews.RU, on September 23, 2003, there was an agreement signed between the Department of Natural Resources of Krasnoyarsk krai administration and BHP Billiton Company.

The company is interested in diamonds and some other natural resources mines and is ready to conduct searching and mining works at its own expenses. BHP Billiton is one of the oldest and largest mining companies in the world. It ha s100 branches in 20 countries with head office situated in Belgium.

Preliminary calculations show that the company’s investments in geological searching works merely will amount to $2-3 mln a year.
