Kazinform publishes that current situation and further developments of gold mining industry in Kazakhstan were discussed during the last day of the conference devoted to metallurgy and mining in Central Asia.

The head of the department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tulegen Mukanov made a report at the meeting. He emphasised that the decrease in gold mining volume is explained by little financial support available for the sector. For this and other reasons most deposits were leased to foreign companies and investors.
