The CEO of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel Mikhail Prohorov has arrived to Murmansk region. In course of two days the head of Russian largest precious and non-ferrous metals manufacturer will visit the enterprises of the region. It is the first time Mr Prohorov is in Murmansk.

There are several purposes of this visit — first, Mr Prohorov will have a discussion concerning the relations of Norilsk Nickel with administration of Murmansk region and the strategy of the company’s development till 2015. Second purpose is to control the development programme of KGMK. Third, the head of Norilsk Nickel wants to chat with workers, to watch the progress and the results of the work.

According to the governor of Murmansk region Yuriy Evdokimov, regional authorities have great hopes in connection with the visit — there will be an agreement signed that will help the region to go through this winter.
