Prospekt Ltd. has been announced the winner of the auction for Lenzoloto Company’s, Irkutsk region, A-shares (44.87%) selling.

Prospekt Company offered 4.665 bln roubles, with the starting price of the shareholding being 1 bln 65 mln roubles. There were nine companies participated in the auction — CJSC Severprominvets, OJSC GNK, NAFTA Moscow, CJSCPolus, CJSC Soyuzmetall, Start Tandem Ltd., SlavSoyuzNeft Ltd., Sovlink Ltd. and Prospekt Ltd.

Prospekt Company represented the interests of MMC Norilsk Nickel. According to M. Finskiy, the deputy chairman of the company’s board of directors, acquiring of OJSC Lenzoloto A-shares (44,9%) allows Norilsk Nickel to save about $300 mln of capital investments in case of the company’s possible winning of auction for the Suhoy Log deposit selling.

The enterprises of Lenzoloto holding exploit about 100 gold deposits with total reserves being 200 tons of gold.
