As it was informed by RIA Novosty, in 2004-2005 diamond quotas would be abolished and the shares of JSC ALROSA would be circulated in the domestic market. According to the Minister of Finance of Russia, the head of the Supervisory Council of JSC ALROSA Alexei Kudrin, next year JSC ALROSA is planned to increase its mining volume by 20%. In 2004-2005 the company will be transformed into open joint stock company.

The president of ALROSA Vladimir Kalitin informed that this year the income of the company is expected to be about 7,5 bln roubles. Mr Kalitin announced as well that JSC ALROSA will sell diamonds to the GOKHRAN at market prices.
