The net profit of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (GMKN) in the first six months of 2003 increased by 77% up to 18 bln 741 mln 763 thou roubles.

The board of directors of the company has approved the agreement with Rosbank on credit for $140 mln obtaining. Norilsk Nickel and Rosbank do not comment the conditions of the agreement, as it has not been signed yet. The board of directors has approved as well the trade deal with Rosbank — Norilsk Nickel will sell 3 tons of gold and 30 tons of silver to the bank.
