The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the decree according to which economic sanctions against Liberia will be prolonged till May 2004.

Until that time all the State organisations, industrial, trade, financial transport and other companies, firms, banks, departments etc. are not allowed to sell or deliver war aimed production to Liberia.

Moreover, the document provides the prolongation of the ban on raw diamonds import from Liberia.
