IRA informs that 8543 kg of gold have been mined in 2003 in Irkutsk region. Last year this figure was 7112 kg of the precious metal.

The enterprises of OJSC “Lenzoloto” have mined 5191 kg of gold by August 11, 2003. Besides, the Zapadnoe deposit is being explored and it is planned to mine over 2 tons of gold a year.
