As it was reported by “KommersantЪ”, the largest diamond company of Russia JSC ”ALROSA” is going to rescind the agreement with world diamonds supplier “De Beers”. By the end of the year “ALROSA” intends to present in European Commission the program of gradual withdrawal from the agreement. They plan to finished it up in October-November, 2003. Alternatively ”ALROSA” will start up a pilot project of cooperation with Lazare Kaplan International, American Diamond-Cutting Jewellery Company.
