OJSC "Kongor-Chrom" plans to finish state expertise and start to exploit chromites deposits “Centralnoe”. The deposit is situated in Ray-Izsk massive of the Polar Ural. Its exploitation opens wide prospects for both regional budgets and Russian metallurgy.

Total resources of Ray-Izsk massive are estimated at 170 mln tons, 11 mln tons being prospected — it is considered to be enough for the nearest 15 years. This resources are supposed to form the basis of mining industry in the autonomous region.
