In Saratov there were project works started for cyanogen sodium production. Cyanogen sodium is used in gold mining industry. It allows to isolate gold from the ore without prussic acid use. This project will help to solve two problems: ecological and economic. First of all prussic acid, being poisonous, is better to be avoided in gold manufacturing. Secondly, new production will allow to compete with cyanogen sodium importers. It is planned to produce 20 thou tons of the chemical a year.
