On June 21 2003 there was the shareholders’ meeting of JSC “ALROSA” held. According to the President of the company Vladimir Kalitin, the plans for 2002 have been fulfilled: in 2002 diamonds for $1466 mln were mined, raw and cut diamonds for $1557 mln were realized. The net profit of the company in 2002 amounted to 6474 mln roubles. JSC “ALROSA” has been conducted research and exploitation works in Irkutsk, Voronezh, Archangel, Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod, Murmansk regions, in Primorye, Northern Ural. The company has the representations and handles projects in Angola, Belgium, Great Britain and Israel.

In 2003 JSC “ALROSA” plans to increase diamonds mining volume up to $1560 mln, production realisation volume — up to $1744 mln.
