According to the Union of Gold Producers of Russia, in January – May 2003 Russian gold production volume grew by 2,8% up to 39,5168 tons as compared to last year figures. The leaders in gold manufacture are Krasnoyarsk (10,9407 tons of gold) and Khabarovsk (6,6126 tons of gold) regions.
