The management of Smolensk “Kristall” Company has prepared the programme of Russian diamond market development that provides the status of Smolensk modification.

According to Maxim Shkadov, the deputy managing director of “Smolensk” Company, in the nearest future Smolensk enterprise can become an exclusive representative of De Beers, world diamonds supplier. At the beginning of June the company remained the sightholder of the Diamond Тrading Сompany. The management of “Kristall” considers it to be the start point for diamonds manufacture volume enlargement at the enterprise.

Today Smolensk “Kristall” manufactures and sells gemstones for $310-320 mln a year and it plans to increase diamonds supplies volume by 10% up to $350-400 mln a year.
