Golden coins weighing 1 kg have become available in the Ural Bank of the Savings Bank of Russia
Four kinds of the eight unique precious coins, devoted to the 300th jubilee of St.-Petersburg, will have become available in the Ural Bank of the Savings Bank of Russia from May 30 2003. These coins are the most rare ones in the historical series “Window to Europe”: golden coins weighing 1 kg (at the face value of 10 thou roubles) and 7,78 g (face value — 50 roubles) and silver coins weighing 1 kg (face value — 100 roubles) and 3 kg (face value — 200 roubles).
The value of the golden coins is 900 thou roubles (1 kg) and 5650 roubles (7,78 g), silver coins cost 14 550 roubles (1 kg) and 140 thou roubles (3 kg).
These are the legal payment method in the Russian Federation.
Experts highlight the unique numismatic and artistic merits of the coins. The number of the coins issued is strictly limited.
