On May 27 Russian Jewish Congress has presented the unique golden Sarmatian amphora with fragrances to the Hermitage. The jar, with garnets inlaid, dates to the II - IV centuries. It has been recently bought from a private collection. The present is timed to coincide with the 300th jubilee of St.-Petersburg.
