Golden and silver coins, issued in honour of famous Turkmen poet Makhtumkuly Fragi, opened new numismatic series "Great Turkmen poets". The series is issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenia.

The coins issue is timed to coincide with May 18, the Day of Renaissance, Unity and Poesy of Makhtumkuly celebrated in the Republic.

The silver coins are at face value of 500 manats, golden coins – at face value of 1000 manats.

The number of the silver coins issued is 5 thou pcs and golden coins – 500 pcs.
