On June 16 2003, extraordinary meeting of Stillwater Mining Company’s shareholders will take place. Its agenda will include the question of the company’s 51% shares sale to Norimet, the subsidiary of “Norilsk Nickel” Company. Recently SMC shareholders have got an alternative offer from an investment bank. SMC board of directors has considered this offer unprofitable and declined it.
