The gold mining volume at the deposits of Chelyabinsk region in the first quarter of 2003 has amounted to 830 kg that exceeds last year figures by 54%. These results have been achieved mainly due to the concept of regional gold mining industry development approved in the region in August 2002. Within the frameworks of the concept realisation, in 5-6 years annual gold mining volume in the region is expected to double.
