After De Beers refusal from monopoly and market regulation Russian companies "Alrosa" and Smolensk State Unitary Enterprise "Crystall" announced about cooperation in the field of diamond manufacturing and production. The ultimate purpose of this action is the growth of the diamond producing and increase in the efficiency of manufacturing, sales and profits.

This union will help to recover the manufacturing of Moscow Plant "Crystall", Altay Plant "Crystall". It will recover the links with "Tuymaada Diamonds", manufactruring groups of Orlovskaya, Smolenskaya and Arkhangelskaya Regions.
