The diamond-mining company "ALROSA" & public company "Severalmaz" strengthen the relationship. It can be proved by the visit of the Arkhangelsk region delegation to Yakutiya. Arkhangelsk region Governor A.Yefremov is at the head of the delegation. It is known that the diamond field after M.Lomonosov (opened 20 years ago) is the largest field in the north-western region of Russia & Europe. It is very important for the development of the diamond complex of the Russian Federation. In May of the current year, Director of "De Biers Centenary AG" G.Reif held negotiations with President of the diamond-mining company "ALROSA" V.Shtyrov. The sides confessed that "ALROSA" had got everything which was necessary to develop the field after M.Lomonosov. The sides announced about the signing of the protocol of intentions, according to which "De Biers" agreed to sell 27% of its shares in the public company "Severalmaz" to "ALROSA". Thus, "ALROSA" increased its block of shares by 40%. The draft of the Arkhangelsk field development is evaluated in the sum of $ 600 mln. Taking this fact into consideration, "ALROSA" started investing the money into the public company "Severalmaz". At present, the technical-economic validation is being worked out. On the assumption of the validation, the residents of Arkhangelsk will start developing the lapidary industry.
