Jewellry Fascination in the Alps. The Impressions.


The first impressions are said to be the most exact. The reporter of the "Ю+" asked the representatives of the Russian delegation to share with their impressions and answer the following questions:

1. What is your brightest impression of the Show "Basel-99"?

2. What is the evaluation of the commercial results that were received by your firm from the participation in the Basel Show?

3. What is your opinion about the level of the trip organization to the show "Basel-99"?

The following answers were received.

1. The excellent organization of the Show. All the details were well though-out, up to the smallest details. The Atmosphere was comfortable for any person.

2. Today it is very difficult to answer this question. As for the commercial results, they might appear as a result of the analysis of the Jewelry Fashion tendencies, as well as new technologies and the equipment for the production. I believe that the experience of the world jewelry market will lead us to some original approaches.

3. The trip was organized perfectly. It seems to me that everyone was satisfied. The group that we were in was great. It is very important for the professional to have informal relations with the colleagues. It would be great to find more causes for such contacts in Russia.

1. 1. The biggest impression that I got was from the fact of how effective the best firms of the world use the possibilities of the Basel forum. The work of all stands that I had a chance to visit was perfectly organized.

2. We have connected the solution of several problems with a visit to "Basel-99".

The first one - the search for the possible export supplies of our plant and we have to state that, even at great thickness and competition of the market, there is still a niche for our products. The interest in our products was felt quite distinct. Now we have to solve some problems of the practical organization.

The second one - the analysis of the offers, search for the possibilities of the direct purchases of some equipment and materials: there is an intensive renewal being done at our plant. The result is the following: we have found the acceptable variants and now hold the preliminary negotiations with the firms-suppliers.
The great use brought the familiarization with the tendencies of the modern design. That should really help us in our situation when 90% of our assortment is being renewed.

3. To my opinion, all the aspects of the stay in Basel were organized at the proper level. The most important thing that was at Basel is the fact that there were no small breakdowns, which usually seem to be inevitable and affect the nerve system. I am very happy with the composition of the group where it was interesting to be in not only from the professional point of view but from the friendly relations.


And here is what added Valentin Yaremenko, the president of JSC "Inter-Chas" who was not in the group:

1. 1. The brightest impression is the new approach of the firm-producers to the sale strategy: massive advertising and image pressing on the buyers. The firms such as "ROLEX", "РАТЕК PHILIPPE", "BREITLING" impressed by their stands and the expenses for them. The avant-garde approach to its stands was demonstrated by the group "SWATCH", which includes the trade-marks "Omega", "Longines", "Tissot", "Swatch" and others.

2. The practical results for me are the meetings with partners, and as a result, new ideas.
