The symbol of St.-Petersburg - the angel from the Petropavlovskaya fortress - has been gilt.

About 350 g of gold leaf have been spent for the gilding. The whole restoration works of the complex cost 13 mln roubles, the financing of the project being under federal control.

According to experts, this golden coverage will remain the same for about 25 years.
