On December 25, the State Duma of the Russian Federation voted down the bill on amendments into the federal law "On precious metals and gemstones".

The bill provides the changes of precious metals and gemstones guarding procedure.

The Government of Russia acted against the bill acceptance as it provides the changes according to which the State will loose a number of control functions in the field of precious metals and gemstones guarding and transportation.
